"8 Tones" (2016) dir. D'Agostino - Pascual / Escalatónica - Interfaces - UNA
Genre: Interactive Instrumental Installation
PIE: Design - Construction - Programming (TSPS, Processing) - Live Camera - Art - Music and Sound
It is an interactive multimedia installation, it is developed on a screen where the interactor can circulate, activating with their movements different tones of red that appear in the background, in turn each tone contains a musical note, generating the visitor a melody according to their positions and performance in the screen space. It also contains a chair that invites the interactor to sit and watch the video of a sea. These two actions, that of moving in different planes in contrast to the stillness of the spectator in the chair, refer to the passive spectator in contrast to the active spectator that this type of work requires, highlighting the different ways in which we find ourselves as spectators in contemporary art.
